Mols Bjerge National Park

If you’re into nature experiences, Mols Bjerge National Park is a must. The dramatic hilly landscapes, coastlines and unique habitats make the area ideal for hiking, cycling and nature observation. Here you can experience unique views, rich wildlife and a wide variety of plants.

Djurs Summerland

Just a short drive from Mols Bjerge Camping is Djurs Sommerland, one of Scandinavia’s largest amusement parks. Here the whole family can experience wild roller coasters, fun children’s rides and water parks all in one park. It’s a great destination for a day full of fun and speed!

Ree Park Safari and Scandinavian Wildlife Park

Djursland is home to two fantastic zoos that allow you to get up close to both exotic and Nordic animals.

Ree Park Safari, located close to Mols Bjerge Camping, offers an authentic safari tour where you can experience wild animals such as lions, giraffes, rhinos and many others. The park is divided into different continents and you can take a Land Rover safari or a train ride through the vast savannah areas. It’s a great experience for both children and adults who love wildlife.

Not far away you’ll find Scandinavian Wildlife Park, which focuses on the Nordic animals and their natural environment. Here you can experience polar bears, brown bears, wolves and moose up close. The zoo is known for its large and natural enclosures that give the animals plenty of space, while giving visitors a unique experience of seeing them in something similar to their wild habitats. It’s the perfect place to learn about Nordic wildlife and how to protect endangered species.

Both parks are great destinations for an exciting and educational day out for the whole family.

Fregatten Jylland and Ebeltoft

Visit the historic coastal town of Ebeltoft. Ebeltoft offers a charming combination of small, cozy shops and delicious restaurants. Stroll through the cobblestone streets and explore local specialty shops, crafts and fashion. When hunger strikes, you can enjoy everything from gourmet food to classic Danish dishes in the many cafés and restaurants, often overlooking the sea or the historic city center. Ebeltoft is the perfect destination for a day of shopping and gastronomic experiences. Ebeltoft is also home to the Frigate Jylland, the world’s longest wooden warship, which you can board and experience life at sea in the 1800s, and the Glass Museum, where you can see world-class modern glass art.

Beaches and swimming experiences

Djursland is known for its beautiful beaches and there are several within a short distance from Mols Bjerge Camping. Take a trip to Femmøller Strand or Ebeltoft Strand where you can soak up the sun, swim in the clean sea water or take a walk along the coast. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Danish summer days.
